That being said, manufacturing problems are rare with Zipp and other products. However, below are some suggestions for solving any problem that you might encounter. Our warranty for all products is 2 years against manufacturer's defects for Zipp product & 12 months for most other brands we distribute. Eligibility for warranty is determined at the Echelon Sports by the Echelon Sports Returns personnel. If a manufacturing problem is determined, a proof of purchase date will be requested from you and if you have returned the product within the first 2 years from Zipp or 1 year for other brands, the policy is to repair or replace the product at no charge. We do not offer refunds. Damaged products not covered under warranty due to accident, misuse, or just plain old bad luck are eligible for our liberal No Fault/Crash Replacement program for up to 4 years from date of purchase. All products have an intended purpose, if the product is used outside of that purpose, it will not be warranted and Echelon Sports cannot be held responsible for any damage that may occur in the process. Examples of misuse include but are not limited to: mountain biking, tandem riding, and disc brake usage for Zipp wheels and other relative no intended uses for other products. Our products simply are not designed to withstand the forces generated by these activities. If you are experiencing a problem with any product, the first step you should take is to look at our maintenance tips under the technical information section of this web site or your local bike shop. You may find a simple solution to your problem there. Otherwise you should give us a call us at (07) 3392 0022 (9am-5pm M-F EST). Someone in customer service will be able to help you.
During your call, the determination could be made that the best course of action would be to return the product to the factory for inspection. If this is the case, you will be issued a Return Authorization Number (RA#). The customer service rep will enter information on our computer system regarding your return. It is imperative for you to put this RA number on your box. After inspection and warranty determination we will perform the necessary repair or replacement. Should there be any cost to you, you will be notified prior to any repair being executed for your determination. If you decide that you do not want us to repair or replace the product, you will need to cover the cost of returning the product to you. If we do not receive a determination from you after 90 days from the receipt of your product at the factory, then the product becomes the property of Echelon Sports Pty Ltd. Echelon Sports will combine all usable, unclaimed products for sale at a local swap meet to benefit local non-profit cycling endeavors.
In the case where your product is within the warranty period, but is damaged either by yourself or in a race accident, etc., we have a No Fault/Crash Replacement Policy. This policy covers a 4 year period following the purchase date of your product. We will require you to call and obtain an RA# in this situation as well and return the product to us. You are then able to purchase a brand new product for a reduced price to replace your damaged product. We can quote the price to you when you call.
NOTE: When sending in an item for warranty, PLEASE remove all accessory items, including tires, tubes, rim tape, cassettes, skewers, computer magnets, etc. If you fail to remove these items, we are not responsible if they are lost or damaged. THERE IS A $30 CHARGE PER WHEEL FOR TYRE OR CASSETTE REMOVAL!!! **( A service Fee will apply for any products purchased from outside Australia that has been sent to Echelon Sports for an International purchase warranty claim, Echelon Sports do have the right to refuse any of these types of claims on a case by case basis )
Under any circumstance, if we replace the product (be it warranty or crash replacement) the damaged product will not be returned but will instead be destroyed. |
