CASTELLI GABBA ROS BLACK OUT

This is the original jacket/jersey that started an entire new product class: the Gabba. It's a water-resistant short-sleeve jacket that's equally ideal for dry conditions. Made to be worn with our Nano Flex arm warmers, it allows you to keep your core warm without overheating.

HOW COME NO ONE EVER MADE A BETTER GABBA?

In 2010 Castelli introduced the Gabba to the pros and changed the way pros race in the rain. And cold. And ride in training. Every other performance cyclist soon saw the need for a Gabba in his or her wardrobe.

We've made some minor updates along the way, but for the fourth-generation Gabba we started with a clean slate to make a significant upgrade. That involved moving it to near waterproof levels, which meant developing a new exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fabric.

We made the front-facing fabric warmer with a light brushing, while the rear-facing fabrics are lighter yet more water repellent than the previous Gabba. We made it better in the rain through seam sealing on the shoulders and a covered zipper. Based on Quickstep Grenadiers testing we figured it's better to have two pockets that are easier to access with gloved hands, though we provide an internal sleeve to keep your pump or other items from moving around. It's not easy to make a better Gabba. We'll keep trying.

Gore-Tex® garments provide total wind protection and maximum breathability. The windproof membrane keeps you from getting cold due to windchill, but the optimum breathability prevents overheating and moisture accumulation by allowing sweat to escape easily. Water repellency is ensured by the DWR treatment applied to the outer fabric.
